High mileage Plus 4

I am looking to buy a 2012 Plus Four, with the 2L Ford Duratec motor. Seems to be in great condition, sheafs of servicing and parts invoices, meticulous owner. Not driven in winter.

But it has done 71,000 miles.

It had a full cylinder head overhaul in 2021, not sure what would prompt that.

What are the experienced Morgan people’s views on buying a high mileage one?

Should be absolutely fine. The engine and gearbox is from a Ford / Mazda and a Morgan is a lot lighter so not stressed.

TBH you are far better buying a Morgan that has been used rather than one that has done very few miles.

It is only cosmetics that might be impacted by mileage.

This one looks a good buy.. bit of bodywork corrosion which is typical of millage and use.
