New MG S5 EV test drive
Discussion
Had a go in the new MG S5 EV
It drives fine, I prefer it to the MG4 electric as you have a higher driving position.
Plenty of power, handles fine.
But in terms of practicality it’s pretty big standard, rear leg room is nothing special.
The current pre reg price of £27k is nothing special.
It’s a bland car with no unique selling point other than the 7 year warranty.

I've had one for 5 months and 6k miles now.
It's not a bad place to be, I've taken it on a little road trip to Paris and several lengthy UK trips without any issues,
Nothing's stopped working and in general it's fine.
The stated range is a joke and I wouldn't ever spend my own money on one but actually, as a simple mode of transport it's pretty good.
Biggest difference I notice compared to the previous Cayenne is that it's not as stable in windy conditions on the motorway and it's not as good with standing water / very wet roads.
