How to stop CV Boots from Popping Off?

I'm plagued by the inboard CV boots on my Clubsport not staying put. The problem is not helped by the fact that there's no recess for the tie wrap to sit in once it's tightened around the CV joint.
Any ideas how to stop the boot from popping off?
Well if you're only using a cable tie then you'll have negligible clamping on it. Use a proper strap.Any ideas how to stop the boot from popping off?

Have you got the little breather pipe Laurence?

Hi Bert - As a breather, I've been using a piece of wire bent round in to a U-shape (like a fencing staple) and strapping this in-situ at the small end of the CV joint - this allows a breathing passage. Didn't know there was a special pipe. What does it look like? where can I buy them?Bert
Peter - Proper straps - Good answer, I'll get some! (not meant sarcastically)
khm - Thanks for your input (meant sarcastically!

That'll do the job perfectly, decent strap (on the CV joint side) is the way to goGassing Station | Radical | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
