PR6 question

Guys with me knowing nothing about wiring on my PR6 just starting to clean it after the weekend there is a sensor going into the bottom of the air box, what does it do as for what ever reason it's fallen apart.

What Darren said, usually the exhaust heat kills them thus its worth putting some heat shielding around it.
