Replacing the Chain...
Discussion
Or YES,
Assuming a similar set up to the clubsport,it is the "simple" job of removing the upright top mount, poping out the drive shaft from the diff, removing the split sprocket, passing the chain round the diff, removing the cover from the front sprocket, fitting the chain, refitting the diff, refitting the driveshaft, re-attaching the upright and tension the chain.
"shimples"
might be better to get a chain the correct length and a chian riveting tool or risk a clip link for ease of fitting and removal?

Having twice replaced my chain in the paddock between runs using each method,(the first time with an unsplit chain kindly lent by Sports Libre) I can say that without a shadow of doubt splitting the chain is easier.
(I was fortunate the second time - in that the competitor in the next slot (also with a Prosport)had an angle grinder and a portable generator and I'd just bought a chain splitter)
However as Angus said, if an SR4 is the same as a Prosport you do have a choice!

Well, I can now say that it is possible but it's a pain - thanks for the help.
I went for the top link off the upright and the drive shaft out method. Took a long time and there was lots of swearing involved but got there in the end.
At least I know for next time !
