Well Done!

Can't recollect it saying anything like that in the latest SR3 RS Manual. What manual is that? Only inherent danger I could envisage is (given that all air jacks leak and let down usually gently), up on air jacks without safety lock-outs, gradually drops back down tyre touches and yikes in which event, with a head of revs, there'd be more than the gearbox to worry about.

I'm sure I've seen factory cars (especially SR8s) up on their air jacks wheels removed running in gear / being run up through the gears, I assumed as part of the warm-up process, very controlled in the case of the SR8.

sr3rs manual said:
Do not run the engine in-gear with the wheels off the
ground. This will damage the gear box.

Suitably admonished chaps ...... bad boy for missing that (afterall it only had a big yellow warning triangle next to it to make sure one did notice it!), good boy for never actually doing it with ours.

All that said, I've definitely seen ass high SR8s with their wheels off chuntering away in gear at fast idle and/or being taken gently up and down through the gears in the pit garages.
