My 6 litre XJS has a torch in the ignition key. Amazingly, it is still working but it's getting a bit dim. Does anyone know how to open up the key to replace the battery? I think the handbook says take it to your dealer, but I'm in deepest rural France.
Yes, that's it. Got it apart successfully, now I just have to find a VARTA V625U. Not the sort of thing you get on those cards of batteries in the pound shop...
