i notice a phone icon on the wheel controls but forgot to ask if it works with any bluetooth phone or if its a special fitment phone, anyone know?

cant wait to collect it and cant believe how cheap it was for such a lot of car

I had a 2001 model but never tried the phone.

Given that it's 11 years old and Jaguar tech is or was then at least one generation behind, I wouldn't expect it to be compatible with anything current or non-Jaguar. Around that time I think Jaguar were trying to shove loads of trickery into the cars to compete with Mercedes.

from looking at google, it seems only 2005 and above will connect with bluetooth, so not sure how the older ones used the button.

still, even if it wont work, im looking forward to picking it up friday, one hell of a lot of car for the money for sure

Does yours have 'Jaguar Voice'? In which case I think you press the button and then shout the numbers.

You can shout to your heart's content, it won't do what you want. Pre Bluetooth I think that you were expected to plug your phone into the car. Do you have a satnav screen?

Mine had the later bluetooth system but I think the earlier ones had a slot for a sim card and the phone was built in completely to the car ...very cool
