Hi, my dads just phoned and said his battery in his car is totally dead and he can't get into the boot because it's so dead. How can I get into it to charge it?

Put the key in the lock and turn it.

Assuming its an X350? If so there is a keyhole on the plinth where the lights to illuminate the number plate are. If X308 then it's cunningly hidden in the XJ badge on the boot.

Sorry I should've said he knew where the key hole is b it's not opening with the key either?

Managed to get into it after finding out that the lock doesnt work when the battery is dead, we found out that you can put power through a thing next to the fuse box so you can open the boot. Thanks for your help mate
