Seek XJS convertible hood, screen etc, wreck, wrt/off, w.h.y

Got this idea in my mind to cut the top off my XJS coupe to create a roadster.

Anyone got or know of an XJS hood (any condition would do to take pattern) + frame/mechanism going cheap - Also perhaps a screen surround, rear quarter lights?

Or a complete XJS convertible wreck/write off etc? Not a cabriolet thanks. Sensible price.

Yep, I know this aint as easy as it sounds but I do know what I'm doing (hic)!

Dont do it.The whole body was stiffend and had a sub frame as well.If you cut the roof off it will flop about all over the place.
I have a partially restored cabbie if you want a project.the Cabbie was actually made from cutting a coupe shell and then strengthening it.

Thanks for your concern John but trust me, I know what I am doing! Have been designing this for some time, including my own version of the essential chassis mods you mention. I'm not actually trying to re-create the convertible but my own 'Roxby Roadster' which I might go on to offer as a conversion. However, I would like to keep the hood shape as standard. There must be someone with a rusty or bent convertible that they've given up on?

Sorry to bump this thread but I am desperate to find an old XJS convertible hood, frame and possibly a windscreen surround for my project (just to take patterns - needn't be mint). Would consider a complete car, write-off, rusty wreck, what have you? Must be full convertible, not cabriolet thanks.
