X Type 2.2 diesel cruise recall

This seems to be causing a few problems for some owners. I am looking at buying a nice example of these but am fearful of getting lumbered with a proverbial expensive bag of spanners due to the recall interfering with the ECU and injectors. What is the experience of PH owners of this?

Had mine done about 6 weeks ago and had no problems other than bluetooth phone link which turned out to be the phone anyway! Great car, economical but reasonably quick cosidering it is an oil burner. Also have a 2.0d Mondeo so can make a fair comparison and it is certainly not a Jaguar badged Mondeo - a completely different car in so many ways, but both have their strengths. Do not intend to part with either in the foreseeable future.

Since I posted this, I have acquired a Sovereign estate with recall carried out. It's fine and as I bought it from a main dealer it's got the Jaguar Approved warranty anyway. I am replacing a 2.0 TDDi Mondeo Ghia with it and agree that they are different cars. Oddly, the Ford is better equipped at the price than the Jaguar which comes with, for example, heated windscreen only as an extra on lower models. The Mondeo is staying in the family but going to my daughter.
