Hi guys

I will try and be as brief as possible. I have over the last 2 years used 3 so called Jag specialist. I have a Jaguar series 2 coupe 4.2 1976.

I find that many of them claim to be true experts and state what knowledge and wealth of experience they have had on the series 2 cars. However whilst their statements may be very true, I find that many of the so called specialist actually don,t get to see these cars on a regular basis and therefore their true knowledge of the car and experience is not bang on the button.

Well at least it seems that in my case I have been funding the restoration of my car and the specialist have been having a free ride and refresher on how to work on and maintain a series 2 Jag.

So can any of you guys please recommend a mechanis who Is a true specialist on the series 2 cars. I must state for the record that I am very, very particular and super fussy. I am based in Essex but don,t mind traveling within reason.

Please help guys, and please let's not get off subject on this one, all I am after is a mechanic who is an expert on series 2 Jags.

thanking you all in advance.

You could try calling Simon at Greencats near Colchester - 01206 257362 - and see what you think. However he can get very busy so leadtimes can be long.
