XF wind noise

have recentley bought an xf 3 litre diesel premium luxury 2010/10.seem to have some wind noise from the drivers mirror area around 75-80 mph. Is this normal? Harry

Yes, it is.

Design has changed on the later models by moving the mirrors further out from the door.

Design must have changed post early 2011 MY - mine whistles like a window cleaner! I thought the supercharger was still whining when off throttle at first! Happens at a much lower speed for me, but I can only hear it with the window open.

Yup, I can confirm wind noise on both drivers and passenger side windows from 70mph upwards.
I have had the same with my previous XKR and XJR before it. I find that setting the stereo to adjust to the speed is a good way of masking the noise.

This was an issue on the early cars (08) and a fix was issued where the window trim was changed to lessen the issue. Have a look at the trim on your car and make sure it is properly seated and not damaged.
