Hi guys,
Finally, I’ve brought a XJ-S V12 from 1976 .... would be nice to know how rare a 76 car is as I imagine most have been scraped over the years. She been standing for many years and the V12 will need attention, whom should I be speaking with regarding this... budgets ? any ideas...
The only rust I’ve found is on the door shuts, below the hinge, but nothing on the forward edge of the sills or around the windscreen, is this a common trap ?
I understand Jaguar offered factory special colours, would they just repaint an existing base colour shell ?...
Cheers
Matt
Many more questions to come once I’ve collected her...

Well, there certainly won't be many '76 XJ-Ss still around. Presumably an auto, as manuals are few and far between. I'm sure someone will come up with some figures in due course.
I wouldn't put too much credence on any website that shows 'how many left', as there have been anomalies so far on every other make/model I've looked at to date.
Pictures when you get it
