Does anyone know whether there was a colour scheme for the growlers on the boot release button of X300s? I've lost the growler off mine and the really stupid thing is that after 16 years of owning the car I can't for the life of me remember what colour it was and neither can I find a picture showing the rear the of the car.
So was there a colour scheme such that different models had particular colours?
Should the growler match the wheel centres.

If anyone has any information I'd be very grateful.

Cheers

I would guess it will match the background colour of the other boot badges fitted, which does vary between models - Daimlers have red boot badges, for example. JDHT offer three colour schmes for the badge, my guess is that yours will have had a green background.

Thanks, that makes sense. I'll check out the rear badges later, but I know they aren't red.

That's a relief, the red growlers don't seem to be available. Just for a change, the Daimler ones are half the price new of the Jaguar ones.

Yup, my X300 Sport has a green button to match the XJ Sport badge. The wheel centres are red, matching the paintwork (apart from the grey one I picked up for nothing after one of the originals went missing....)

Thanks guys, yes the rear badges are green and the more I think about the more certain I am that the growler was green too. So I've asked Graham "Grublogger" to sort me one out.
They don't just sell the growler, you have to buy the whole switch assembly.

There is a company in the states that does, I bought a few to play with and fitted one to my XJS, much better looking than the original too
