Jaguar XK (X150) running costs?
Discussion
Hi,
I currently drive a 2003 CL500 Mercedes and am thinking about getting something a bit newer but still with a V8 and the new shape W216 CL's are still a bit pricey so i've been looking at early X150 XK's but what I want to know is are they any good and are the running costs going to be more than my current CL or about the same/less?
Are there any known problems and are the mpg jag claim legitimate or pulled out of thin air like MB's?
Thanks in advance,
James

Just bought a 2010MY XK 5.0 (not the R). Talked to a load of people about real world consumption; if you are pootling on a motorway around 80 leptons, I've had reliable people state 27mpg was doable.
25mpg is very common even with some lead-footed driving. I'd say their figures are not too bad for combined mpg.
Give me 4 weeks and I'll let you know my own experience
