I received a post today offering to extend my warranty - £158.90 per month, oops silly, they've put the decimal point in the wrong place, but no - pay for the whole year £1589! I think I'll pass eek

Reemeber it's not a Jaguar warranty, it's a 3rd party job, and you'd be surprised at some of the exclusions.

The 5 years of warranty extentions I took for my S-Type were all Jaguar warranties, not from an independent source. It is well worth the check on this. Overall I reckon the warranties were financially a success and of course there's peace of mind....

Went to HA FOX for a quote yesterday.

Reception lass was friendly and helpful, completely opposite to the 'aftersales manager'

Guy looked at me with total distan. Didn't stand, shake my hand anything. Once he decided he would accept me as a customer he then told me it would be £276 for an inspection followed by £1400 odd for a years warranty.

Pah!

HA Fox, Stratstone and most large franchise Jag dealers all seem to suffer the same hoity attitude. Furious with them all in my attempts to buy an XF - not one seemed to give a damn. Ended up with a really great dealer in Taunton - superb service - sold me an XK 5.0 !

thats not cheap, but based on the number of times our 59 plate XF has had to be taken into the dealer (yet again today!) I'm surprised its not even more! Still can't understand how our car performed flawlessly for 20k miles and then diabolically for the next 30k miles. Sad to say we'll never have another Jaguar to make any comparisons however.
