The Ecurie Ecosse Transporter

After reading BDF's thread about the Lynx Eventers I got me thinking back to other cars and vehicles that I had seen at Lynx over the many years I lived nearby ..

One that stands out in my memory is this stunning Ecurie Ecosse Transporter




But it did not always look this beautiful ..a rare picture of when she arrived at Lynx for a full rebuild in the late 80's



I remember seeing her when they had finished the rebuild sitting outside their gates with two Lynx D-Types on the upper deck looking absolutely stunning

The great man fired it up for me so I could listen to the lovely growl of that TS3.
Best thing there all weekend, I thought. Although the late Alan Clarke's Bentley Continental was parked around the corner.

Resurrection of an old thread ....

One of the few benefits of these current crazy times is the time it gives to do a bit of "housekeeping". Trawling through my old image archives I came across these pictures of the Ecurie Ecosse Transporter during and after its restoration by Lynx in the early 1990s. I post them here in case they may be of interest.

Hi new to the site, is there anybody on here that could give me the wheelbase measurement of the Ecurrie transporter, I'm trying to re-size a set of plans to build a 1:12 scale model. Or point me in the right direction.
