which oil for XJR V8

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what oil you recomend for a 2001 XJR V8. Fully synthetic? Semi? it has 102k on the clock also.

I always use a proper fully synthetic - the savings in fuel through reduced friction and better heat transfer alone far outweigh the small extra cost, without even considering the advantages of lower wear rates.

You need to be carefull about exactly what you are buying though. Oil can be labelled and sold as synthetic even though it may be a hydrocracked mineral oil or mixture of mineral oil and synthetic.
