1998 xkr sound system

Can anyone suggest a repair for the Harmon Kardon cd player or a replacement cd player as it keeps pausing even when the car is stationary ,the radio & tape player work fine as do all the steering wheel controls.

The CD player is the same if you have the standard set up or HK

Maybe best just to get a second hand one
