BBS Milan Wheel question
Discussion
Looking at an X300 which has later X308 (i think) BBS Milan split rims (genuine) Two however have been curbed and the stainless steel flange/trims are a bit scuffed and damaged.
Where can these be sourced? how much? and how much to have them fitted? I assume the wheel has to be taken apart?
I've only seen one seller on the bay selling them, at 120 quid a piece!
Any ideas?

A rare option.
Larger diameter wheels and lower profile tyres tyres severely compromise ride quality and accelerate suspension component wear both on XJ sixes and eights and replacement tyres in those larger sizes are very limited in brand choice and cost a fortune too.
If you need replacement wheels there's lots of secondhand 16" diameter sets on both ebay and offered by breakers like Eurojag. Personally, having had larger diameter wheels on an XJ I'd steer well clear of anything bigger and source a set of 16" diameter wheels and fit the best quality tyres I could afford. If you do so you have a choice of either 225/60/16 or 225/55/16 tyre sizes which are both plentifull and reasonably priced.
Whatever you choose make sure the wheels are in pristine undamaged condition. XJ's are very sensitive to wheel/tyre distortions and imbalances and tracing a wobble or vibration takes time and repeated visits to to your local tyre monkeys and is a mighty PITA. Sometimes the only option is to have a Road Force balance done and there's very few tyre fitters who have the Hunter machine and the capability to use it correctly. A full Road Force balance on all 4 wheels costs around £50-£80 and even that cannot not compensate for a radially buckled wheel.
