XKR - 2008 vs 2009
Discussion
Does anyone know about these? A guy says his car is a 2009 model, but when I look online, it seems that the model got a revamp for 2009, the biggest thing being 90 odd extra horses, but the 2009 interior did away with the auto gearstick and replaced it with a....twisty, knob, i-drive thingy.
However this guys has the old gearstick, therefore would I be correct in assuming he is lying to me, and his is in fact a 2008?!
Cheers.

Afraid I can't help with specifics, however in the UK we don't tend to run to actual model years as they do in the US. So many owners will get confused between model year, year it was built and the year it was registered.
e.g. the same car being registered in January rather than in December might to some peoples eyes be deemed as a different model year.
The other confusing thing is, there is no set date for model year changes, typically a new MY is anywhere from March to June, so in theory people could have been driving about in 2013MY cars for 6 months+, despite the fact we are still 3 months away from 2013.
With the Jag if the MY is a concern, your best bet will be to ask for the VIN as that will tell you (or you can look up) the exact details of that car.
