No reply from GG, can you guys help. I know the R is top dog, but I dont need it, is the second top car just unloved?
I like the power delivery that a larger engine car gives, I am not talking outright speed but a easy drive. thing is, I am also finding the size of my cayenne a bit of a pain to live with.
So I started to look for smaller cars that still have that stately wofty feel.
Golf R32, sounded good

But then I noticed this.

To me it has all the power of the golf, the same MPG but a whopping 33% cheaper, Does the price just reflect tha fact that a Jaguar is not in fashion with the youth of the day.
also soon this, but it does not address the size issue.

Yes, I think so. The popularity of the XF combined with the image problem the S type suffered meant the used prices took a heck of a hit.http://www.georgemackay.co.uk/746/used-cars.htm @ £12K

I'd imagine the Jaguar S Type 4.2 would make a lovely reliable cruiser. By the end of their life they were good cars, particularly with the well proven petrol engines.
