XFR or XK before Sportbrake?
Discussion
I'd like an XF Sportbrake with a petrol engine but at the moment they're not offering it with the supercharged V6. So I'm wondering about buying a s/h V8, keeping it for a year and then trading it in against a nearly new Sportbrake. By that time, I might be happy to look at a diesel
I know both will depreciate but what would you say was the 'wiser' choice, the XFR or XK? Budget is £30k ish. Also, does anyone have any info' on future availability of supercharged V6 or V8 in a Sportbrake? Thanks in advance for any helpful advice offered!

Currently no word on petrol Sportbrake so can't help there unfortunately.
I would go for the XK if you don't need the rear seats, as the XFR will be too similar to a future Sportbrake.
What I'm trying to say is, if you can get away with the XK then get it done before you have to change to a more mainstream (dare i say boring in comparison?) car.
£30k will get you a nice late 4.2 s/c or for a little bit more, an early 5.0.
Nice dilemma to have.....
