I have a 2008 XJR (North American spec) and put snow tyres on recently with new TPMS sensors from Orange.
I now have an error:
TYRE PRESSURE SYSTEM FAULT
The sensors have been enabled, and the shop verified they are the right frequency, and are all transmitting the temp/pressure and that pressures are reported as correct.
They checked that the car is seeing four signals (at first it only saw two, so they replaced two of the sensors).
I have tried to do the 15 minute drive reset several times, still no joy.
The Jaguar dealer says that they would charge $300 to program it to the sensors (hmmm, it should self learn shouldn't it?), and if that fails they would sell me four new sensors for about $1000 installed, and then charge me again to reprogram. Nice - makes you loyal to your dealer doesn't it.
any advice or thoughts?
Cheers
