XJ X351 door mirror question
Discussion
I know that the X350 had a driver setting to stop the wing mirrors from folding when locking the car, but still allowed the driver to fold them using the buttons in the door. The 'disable on locking' option on the X351 is a dealer-only setting, but this apparently disables the ability to fold using the buttons in the door when, for example, going through width restrictions.
Or is my local dealer wrong? Can you turn off the 'fold on locking' whilst still being able to fold the mirrors when required?

On my 2003 X350, it is an option available under vehicle settings on the touch screen, I can't imagine it would be much different on a 351, as it is only a face lifted version.
It is very simple to see and change.
Depending if the design has changed, those mirrors easily become stuck due to the crud & dirt around the pivot pins, it is quite easy to clean away, but I find if they are used all of the time, i.e. set to work on locking, they don't seize.

Nope, it was there with the X350 and still is with the XF, so it's a bit odd that they've changed things with the X351Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
