Hello,

My friend has an XKR and has upgrade to 20" rims. He has offered me the original wheels and tyres, the latter being p zero's with plenty of tread. I am in the process of negotating for a 911 with 18" rims so thought the tyres might come in useful.

Please could anyone give me an idea of what they are worth should i want to sell the rims on after removing the tyres. The XK is a 2003 model, and the rims are in good condition, but I dont know what the rims are called: I presume they are posh ones as he is married to the car.

Thanks in anticipation

There are a number of different wheel sets for an XKR from 2003. The tyres will be 245-45-18 front and 255-40-18 rear. Sets of wheels with tyres go on e-bay from about £120-600 depending on tyres , condition and popularity. Two sets of the most popular "Double fives" sold before Xmas for about £120 a set in the last few weeks for over £300. Once you have taken the tyres off any set will be unlikely to be worth more than £150 unless they are mint as new.

Thank you all for your contributions, It has been a help even though I still do not know what they are called, but a fellow PHer has bought them.

One thing for sure is they are heavy!
