F type

I saw my first F type this morning. It looked stunning. I went a little out of my way to look at it as it caught my eye whilst ascending the levels of a multi story train station carpark, of all places.

I came here expecting to find lots of buzz about a recent launch or something, but there seem to be few "its arriving in x days" type posts, is this one likely to be a management/press car or something? Are they being delivered to end customers now?

I went to an F-type factory tour last week and I think they said customer car deliveries are just beginning - certainly plenty of cars coming off the production line so they must be going somewhere!

Official launch likely to be mid-end of April, I believe.....

I'm seeing two or three every day (but then my commute does take me past the West Brom factory)!

Dealer launch is scheduled for 26th April with customer cars still TBC, so anything you see at the moment are still pre-production. Whether on proper testing or just blagged by someone senior!

We had a pre production car for 2 weeks at the end of last year.

I will be driving it around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in a few weeks.

Excellent. Half will be bound for the Circuit of the Americas (F1 circuit) in Texas and the other half to the IMS (indy 500 track) in Indianapolis. Employee training begins soon.

Saw one on garage plates on the A303 near Thruxton last night, looked good even in recession white.

I've seen one or two together every morning for the past two weeks on my commute to Cheltenham on the A435. I'm guessing being delivered to a dealer? Always on trade plates.

I know a employee that had one out at the weekend for 'testing'.

Unfortunately didn't get chance to meet for a close look but by chance i past them on the motorway - it looked really good.
