All four tyres on my 2012 XF S are fast approaching replacement, but I've not been massively impressed by the OEM Dunlop tyres fitted.

Though they've lasted just under 20,000 miles I've been surprised at how quickly they break traction, especially when accelerating from standstill.

I know Jaguar also supplied Pirelli tyres for the 20'' Hydra Wheels but I recall reading that they have a relatively limited lifespan (circa 10,000 miles)?

So which sport tyres do people currently recommend?

I'll probably be going for Michelins on mine next. I had Pirellis on an M3 a few years back, and barely got 8k out of them. My only concern is the stiffer side-walls of the Dunlops mean they don't scuff the edges as quickly.

BTW, have you popped over to Jaginfo?

I had Spires sports suspension fitted to My XFS while i still had my Dunlops on and there was a big improvement, but the icing on the cake was when i changed the Dunlops for Vredstein Ultrac Sessentas, after around about 1k bedding in they really are excellent.

Also forgot to mention at 67dB they are the quietest tyre you can buy as well..and you notice it compared to the Dunlops
