I have an M reg XJR which needs the rear hedlining re-fitting. I understand it is a window out expensive job. Trouble is my local indy won't touch it. Can anyone let me know who will quote...

Thanks smile

I had a discussion with Peter Hugo at Winspeed down near Guildford about this last year. The original proposal was using a tradition car interior specialist, like I had done with my XK150, which was a scary price. But a while later he came back to me same he'd found an alternative approach, they'd found a company selling a kit to make it much easier and very much cheaper to do.
I don't think Peter is a work at the moment, but I'm sure one of the other guys there would be able to help.

i had http://www.oxtedtrimming.co.uk/ re trim my original headboard in ivory ( they had a perfect colour match on the shelf) we un did all the interior trim and managed to fold the panel to get it out the door opening and did the same to put the new one in.
It did crease the head liner when folding it to get it in the car but it soon straightened out and now looks as good as new..

cheers Jamie

Have you tried these guys. I recently replaced the headlining in my XJS. I was surprised how easy it was

What sort of price are we talking for these? Mine's a bit saggy at the moment; doesn't obscure the view from the rear view mirror but might need addressing soon...
