How to cancel 2009 XKR ignition warning bing?

I collected my 2009 XKR at the weekend and the ignition-on warning bing is irritating. Even when the engine is running and I open the door, the bing starts binging. As if I can't hear the engine. 
Is there any way to cancel this bing? I can't find mention of this in the manual. A friend with a new Evoque says that does the same. On my Audi there's a 'reset' button that cancels the bing. Is there an equivalent bing button on JLR systems?
(Pressing the red triangle symbol in the touch screen has no effect.)
