CX-75. On or off???
Discussion
After a quiet mothballing of the project a month or so ago, Jaguar had a media blitz in the car mags with journo's having passenger rides in the prototypes. Now Jag are running it up the hill at Goodwood FoS.
So c'mon Jaguar, is it on or off.
Personally I think this is the most stunning car Jag have ever made, I'm a bit snobby that it only ha a 4 cyl engine, but boy does she shift.
F-type looks crap compared to this.......

I reckon it will get made in some form. But with a more conventional drivetrain. Either a beefier version of the blown V8, or a hybrid setup.
Surely Jaguar wouldn't be showing it off if they had no intention of doing something with it. Especially so soon after it got canned.
I remember that after the C-XF concept came out, followed by the real XF, Ian Callum said that Jaguar had learnt their lesson when it came to showing off concepts that weren't close enough to real production cars

Personally I think it has been canned as there was not enough interest and too few deposits placed for it. The Porsche 918 only has deposits on half the slots available. If they drop the price to £150k that would be more realistic, maybe too cheap, but I don't think Jaguar can run before they can walk with a car priced near £700k!!!
Officially it will not be built.
However.......
Something tells me that if (when) a large cheque is made available to Jaguar a couple of examples will be built.
I dont see how Jaguar can resist the temptation. It is jaw-droppingly gorgeous & even with the piddly little engine it goes like crap off a shovel & it is a sure fire winner.
I wonder if a V12 would fit in the back......
Give it 12 months max before they start to build it. I hope!!!!!
