XKR Opening top with burst hydraulic hose

Hi,
further to my original post regarding replacing the hydraulic hose that has failed, ive taken out most of the stuff I need to allowing access to the hoses. My problem is getting the top down as I managed to get it out of the latch but the hose went completely with the top just out of the latch. The handbook recommends not manually opening the roof.
Is there a way of getting the hood down manually,
