Did anyone go to the Sports and Classic show at Tatton Park this weekend.

Reason I ask is that I was looking at BRG 2003 XJ.

It was for sale and it was beautiful, and individual and cherished, but something was nagging me and I never got the clarification from the owner as someone else was having a conversation with him at the same time, but I am sure I heard him say it was a 3.5l V8, therefore it cannot be an XJR, it even had an XJR badge on the boot.

The conversation began with me saying I had an XJR too.....and he let me assume his was an XJR. Didn't pop the bonnet,

I had assumed it was an XJR because the plate said XJR 1, which was the legal plate and not for show (Wants 25K for the plate)and around £10k for the car.

Was he tring to take the p*ss out of me ?

Either way I was tempted as it was a fabulous car.....

Taking the p******
Compare the market lists it as a 3.5 V8 Jaguar 2003 XJ worth £3715

Thank you for the response.

How do you find out a car valuation on Compare the market ?

Its a tool that I will use in future.

According to all sources, DVLA, CAP, Experian and Compare the Market, 'XJR1' plate is on a 2006 Kia Sorrento, not quite a JAG, they could be wrong as cherished plates are notorious for showing up on wrong vehicles on searches.
