Engine management light

My engine management light is coming on? It's a x type diesel 54 plate anybody any ideas?

have you got a hand held scanner, should give you codes and point you in the right direction

Cant get codes off it as we can't get it to do it when its plugged in? Its started to cut out now and the heater plug lights is coming on?

I bought my brother's 55 plate. He had those symptoms when the high-pressure fuel pump was giving up.

plug in and read it even if light is off fault will be in the memory.. could even be the heaters that need replaced
