Read in a few places that in mid 1967 (August to be precise)Jaguar 420,s were changed to run on unleaded, and guess when my car was made,9/08/1967!so i'm not sure if my car 100% falls into this category to run ok on unleaded?.Is there anywhere i can find out?
Is it possible if my car doesn't like unleaded just to retard ignition, maybe alter carb mixture etc.Thanks.

Retarding ignition and changing mixture, etc, has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that current fuel does not contain lead.

However your car ran for many years with lead in its fuel and that lead was being constantly hammered in to the valve seats.

Will probably take many thousands of miles yet before that lead is hammered back out and you have to worry about it.

Drive your car, and if in the future (a long time in the future) if you still own the car and it suffers from valve seat recession, you can look back fondly on all the money that you have saved previously by not adding any additives.

Jaguar XK engines have alloy heads with hardened valve seat inserts.

They can run on unleaded without any problem.
