S Type 'Adamesh' Tunning Box
Discussion
Hi
Has anyone any experience of the 'Adamesh' tuning box detailed on the attached link, 20% fuel improvement seems amazing without the 30% increase in bhp and torque! I do 25k / year, so the unit would soon pay for its self, but I don't want to introduce any reliability issues that might come as a result of fitting the unit.
Any feedback appreciated

If I was spending that much on a dirty resistor, I would get a proper remap instead.
Mine was done by http://www.snowsgarage.co.uk/ and I'm delighted with it.

Hi
Web site made interesting reading, only problem being | live in Wiltshire, so Hanley is a little far.
Out of interest, did the re-map do everything that the write up said with regards to power and MPG improvement?

MPG largely unchanged, vast increase in mid-range torque available. I don't doubt that if I used it extensively, MPG would suffer.
More power uses more fuel; laws of physics cannot be altered, neither can the basic modus operandi of a diesel engine!

I agree 100% with the laws of physics too, but all the re-map web sites suggest an average of a 10% improvement in mpg, which is a great way to pay for the extra power (when trying to convince yourself its a good idea!).MPG largely unchanged, vast increase in mid-range torque available. I also have a Saab 9-3 Aero (petrol) which has been re-mapped, and on a run can get close on 10% improvement over the manufacturers quoted mpg, difficult to tell at other times as the wife uses it locally for the school run.
