Well, here was mine. Whilst the colour did suit it, it wasn't very 'Jag' like so created a rather unique image. Which I liked.

I'd have the same again though, because only the R-S's can be spec'd in this colour and also because with this colour, you get the blue stitching on the interior which was a bit different to the norm.

IMO: dark red

This was a Jaguar UK car at one of their track experience days.

I love the Italian Racing Red on these as well.

I also happen to know that there's a very low mileage demo in this colour for sale in Manchester Jaguar. smile

No affiliation, just know because it was offered to me a couple of weeks ago.

IMHO I think the XKR-S looks best in Polar white, closely followed by French Racing Blue.

If it was me I'd stick with black, as you can't go wrong....

Bought mine in polaris white and then added carbon mirrors, bonnet vents and side vents it looked the dogs do das my main reason for selling was not happy with build quality shutlines were awful and the bumper developed a bulge from ill fitting rear support brackets. But the sound was awesome.

French racing blue. No doubt in my mind albeit the Italian red a close second. The FRB is a complete pain to look after though and very susceptible to swirl marks. When it's polished and the carbon lip spoiler is not halfway back up the road it looks fantastic.

Stratus grey.

It's rare, subtle and easy to keep

Guys,

Quick question, How do you find the touch screen multimedia and nav unit. I've had a play with one but not having it to live with. Does the delay when turning volume up and the silly moving display to change from say radio to nav start to annoy you after a time???

Also I've been unable to find out the costing for servicing. I know about tyres and petrol as it similar to my V8 E92 M3.

Edit...

I'm looking to getting myself one, its just my dream car apart from the new Aston Martin Vanquish but I don't have a spare 200k in the bank account

I dont have an XKR but the same computer is in the XF and XJ and I have had several weeks driving both of those. The computer delay coupled with the rather rubbish steering wheel controls mean I wont be buying another Jag anytime soon. Shame really as the plan was to get an XKR next.

My current steed is a 2007 XJR and its old school touch screen computer is streets ahead of the modern ones and the buttons on the steering wheel are perfectly placed and just, well, work.

My expectation is that when I want something it happens now, not in a few seconds when the computer can be bothered to eventually react. When instead of looking at the road you are staring at a computer screen waiting for it to do something you realise that its taking your focus away from where it is supposed to be. Drove me nuts and each time I have had a modern Jag I've been very glad to get back in my XJR.

Oh and of course there is the comedy satnav - the new jags still have the same satnav as my old XJR with its 1990's style display (someone should tell them roundabouts are round) and comedy routing you will still need a TomTom.
