Jaguar X350 3.0 V6 2003, unable to select any gear??

the car starts fine, no warning on dash, go to press the brake pedal and move gear stick but it refuses to move like its locked in place?? Any ideas on how to fix will be much appreciated.

Check if your brake lights come on its probably a faulty brake light switch

Sadly, brakes lights do work...

There is a solenoid that locks the selector in park may have failed or be stuck

Can you hear a clicking noise from near the gear lever when you press the brake pedal if not the fuse for the gear release solenoid might have blown

Hi, from checking the other day though no click at all, would you know where the fuse is or how to fix?
