Hi, I have an XFR (2012) that I am having trouble making the ipod work.
Recently bought the car and tried today to connect up. Plugged in and screen message just sits there saying "connect ipod"
Any ideas what's going on, please?

Just works for me I'm afraid.

The only time it didn't work was when the iPod itself was goosed. Apple replaced it and it's been fine.

I use an iPod Classic 160gb and basically the Hard Drive fried itself so it would randomly skip forward or freeze and also not connect to the car.

Do you have the cable that was supplied with the car? There were, I seem to remember, a couple of different specced cables for the iPod Link.

Really? I didn't get one with the car (brand new car).

I just use the cable that came with the iPod.

Hi again,
I tried my wife's iPod this morning and it worked fine.
Oh well, off to buy a new Ipod for myself now.
By the way, I just used the cable that came with the car.
Thanks for your comments.

That link to jag info doesn't work, I think it should be www.jaginfo.org

If this is a pre face-lift car you need the cable that comes from Jaguar which has a weird bespoke connector on the end. Don't buy one from Ebay as i did, that didn't work either, the genuine Jag one works fine.

It's a 2012 car and I was surprised the original ipod didn't work.
Anyway, a nice new ipod nano is installed and sounds good.
Just used the charger cable that came with it to connect to the car.
