2003 s type electric handbrake, fault code showing on dash. Took care to a auto electrican who has code read the ecu and seems to determine that the electric hand brake motor is at fault. He seemed a little out of his depth and after paying him nearly 60quid just for him to read the fault codes and then inform me he wasnt sure what the problem was....so can anyone advise or refer me to someone who can diagnose and rectify the problem.
Thanks cooky

Yes they are fun arn't they !! Mine is also playing up and I have been advised that it can probably be cured by a re-calibration from the IDS/WDS system. Mine will recalibrate but does not keep it's calibration and fails , not tried WDS/IDS but you can try this.

Remove the 30 amp fuse that powers the EPB from the rear fuse box (sorry can't remember the number but there are not other 30amp fuses and it is in the manual.
Wait 30 seconds minimum (??)
Start car and press the brake pedal 5 times. You should either get calibration or apply EPB in display. Apply park brake and hope. They advise turning on/off the EPB 5 times in sucession to check that no new fault codes are created. If you go to Jaguar forum you can download the Jaguar service release info.
