Hi ,
I have been living in Qatar for the past two years and in the middle east for the past eight years , so have some knowledge of the market . To sum that up any checks you would carry out on a comparable UK purchase would need to be stepped up ten fold out here . Cars of this age are rarely looked after , and the conditions under which vehicles operate here ( its over 50 Degrees today ) mean that wear and tear is significantly accelerated , especially on any component where rubber is involved ( bushes / tyres ) etc .
In this particular case the photographs are poor and limited so its not possible to gauge its condition , however the recent paint job would ring the alarm bells , probably carried out in some back street paint shop .
In addition to the normal checks accident damage is a big concern , the standard of driving here results in a huge amount of accidents daily , ranging from the normal fender benders right to the other end of the spectrum , so a car of this age will have potentially had many comings together throughout its life .
Wait until you arrive and check the market would be my advice and if you need any assistance I would be happy to help .
PS : Seems very expensive as well .....
