X type 2.2 diesel

hi guys
im looking to buy an x tyrpe 2.2 diesel on a 55 plate but the car in question seems very slow to Accelerate, struggles to hit 40 in second is this normal !!!there is no engine management lights on and everything else is loverly

your thoughts please

There is somthing wrong with that run away, plenty out there find another.

2.2 should feel quite nippy, ours wheels spins through 2nd with the slightest rain.
