New XF - Anyone considering one??

Placed an order for a new 2015/16 XF last week. 180Hp R-Sport in Gun metal grey with black pack. I also went for some larger 19" wheels over the standard set up.

I was considering an XE for months, however when I say the new XF and compared the price I was surprised there wasn't much in it on a lease hire, circa £4 less fr the XF a month. Solely due to the higher residuals.

I drove high spec demo and it was a great drive and a excellent place to be in on the daily slog to the office and meetings. I'm just waiting for a build date now, i'm not holding my breath for any time before Jan/ Feb next year (

A six or eight cylinder petrol version in three years time perhaps.

I ordered an XFS petrol back in June on one of the decent lease deals that appeared for a few days.

I'm still waiting on a delivery date but keep getting told pre-Christmas?

Dealer told me that the build slots are being brought forward for a lot of their orders. Would be nice to start seeing the new XF out and about on the road

I'll be after a petrol S next year once the quality sorts itself out. Having seen a few, they look great, but just a few niggles need sorting. I'm told there's a recall to sort out incorrectly fitted exhausts, so I feel justified delaying.

The problem for me is that the 5 Series and E Class are being offered on some very attractive deals at the moment.
