Hi all

I have a BMW 3 series the seat on 800 miles a week leaves a lot to be desired. Is there a particular XF range Ie Portfilio etc that has the best seat in the range?

Thanks in advance

That's a very personal thing in my experience.

I'm average height and quite slim build and find sport model seats with big bolsters much more comfortable than comfort spec seats which feel too wide and unsupportive for me. Heavier built people may find the opposite to be true.

What's the one with perforated leather?

That's the 'R' Type interior. Standard on XFRs (obviously) and a cost option on others. We have it in our XF 5.0 smile

I did 50k miles in my Xfr, and have done 50k in my xj Supersport, did around 20k in premium luxury xf. Xfr has best seats by miles!

Ignoring the embossed logo, are the R seats the same as these?

It's hard to imagine not being able to find a comfortable position in these to be honest, being overweight aside (I sometimes hear of forums from larger people that the squab bolsters hurt - generally because their thighs spill over the edges).

They're identical (bar the colour and contrast stitching) to our XF V8 smile

Plus the side bolsters move in and out so being a wider gent is no issue, don't forget they sold a few of these in the USA.....
