X308 Stereo install

This seems to be a fair issue, I've been looking at X308's, but stumbled across the difficulty of fitting a better aftermarket stereo it seems! I can't find anything conclusive/informative with Google searching..

Has anyone managed to fit one of these new Android touch screen units in their X308?

What about the standard amp? Could you replace it with something better to retain the OEM wiring?

If it's anything like the S-Type the standard stereo will be either Basic, which is awful, or Premium, which is much better. If it's already Premium you might struggle. I took my S-Type into an ICE place and the said 'sorry, it's got a digital bus, nothing we can do'.

Complete replacement is not a problem. Integration into old phones and Sat Navs are pretty much impossible. Tough to get it even to work with the steering wheel controls. THere are plenty of X100 and X308 that have replacement stereos and Sat Nav but most shops shy away. Try a Jag specialist, look on the Jaguarforum, xkec etc.
