Jaguar XKR..How to identify the 'S' variant

Hi all
I am currently looking for a XKR 4.2 'S'. I have found a car advertised as an 'S' here on Pistonheads.
The car is a September 2004 model but all my research so far tells me they didn't start making them until March 2005?
I believe the S also had chequered flag badge emblems and came in Satin silver.
This car is Platinum silver and has standard emblems.
Is there a way of identifying if the car is an S.... chassis number, specification details etc?
The car does have full carbon dash and inserts along with recaro seats, it looks identical to a Carbon Edition, again, are there any particular identifying marks, I understand the log book doesn't say anything about the limited edition?
I would really appreciate any feedback as it would either help me buy the right car or equally, stop me buying the wrong one.

Though I am looking for a car that I will thoroughly enjoy, I'm looking for a car that will hold/increase in value over time. The later, low mileage low owner cars are therefore the ones to go for. Any limited edition or limited production models will help with this. It's not often you'd privileged enough to buy a car like this so I want to make sure its right.

The book "you and your Jaguar XK/XKR" suggests the following with regard to the 4.2 S:
"S" announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005. Revised badging on the boot and the growler badges incorporating a chequered flag emblem. Standard wheels on the XKR version were 20in split-rim BBS Perseus.
Available in any of the existing Jaguar colours, plus four others - Copper Black Metallic, Frost Blue Metallic, Ray Blue Metallic and Satin Silver Metallic. Darkened rear light clusters.
It also states that the cars had soft grain leather seating and numerous fitments that were normally extra cost: power fold-back mirrors, headlamp power wash, heated front screen, rain-sensing wipers, heated seats, Xenon headlamps, Bluetooth connectivity and a 320 watt 8-speaker Premium sound system.
There are pics of the badging and carpet treatment and bits of other info too. It might be worth you buying the book!
