Mirror replacement on x308 xj

Howdy folks, this is my first time on the jag section (usually found in the Aston sub forum) and I was wondering if you could help. I have bought my dad a 2000 xj executive as a surprise birthday present and the rear view mirror and drivers mirror have gone yellow. I know what the fault is, just after somewhere that sells the right parts and is it a straight forward fix?

Also, the car has a xj sport badge and would like to find an exec one, but im coming up blank.

Ive ordered a wing mirror glass, so just need the badge and auto dim rear view mirror. One thats not going to cost near £300 would be nice lol.

You could try Eurojag, Jagspares North East or Rob Jenner at Exclusively Jaguar for second hand stuff. (Google them as I don’t have my list to hand)

When I had an X308 I used Berkshire Jag Components, they were always really helpful and sensibly priced.

Replacement auto dimming mirrors are $$$ even second hand and they all tend to fail so second hand may give shorter life. Someone on a current Jaguar Facebook link says the mirror on the Mondeo TXS is the same, down to the same connections. When mine went I got a brocken mirror and swapped the unbrocken mirror glass. There is more than one type depending on options , auto wipers , etc. but the actual glass is the same once you get the mirror apart.
