IIRC this can only be done at a Jag dealer. You might be able to get the physical part elsewhere but I'm pretty sure you need a dealer to programme it (unless some dodgy geezer in a railway arch with a laptop can do it).

There used to be a "back door" way to register keys, at least in the older models. The logic was that if a customer was stuck way out in the sticks and there was no way to get to a main dealer with all the right computer stuff they needed a way to get the customer up and running again. Don't know if this is the case on the X150s but I'd be surprised if there wasn't one. But I don't know it.

Plan B: Can you get it going again? New battery? If not then it might be worth trying https://www.remotefobcentre.com/ - they fixed mine.

If you have RAC/AA cover then check to see if you have key cover. I presumed it was only there to replace lost keys but the RAC arranged for an auto locksmith to repair my failed x150 key on my drive, didn't cost me a penny in excess and has meant my £75 policy has more than paid for itself already.
