Hi there ,

So here’s the conundrum - the above jag has given me years of reliable service but the gearbox is starting to slip. I’m going to pop into Stephen engineering for a diagnostic but he ball park rebuild bill for ZF 6hp26 box will set me back 2k&vat. Plus it falls foul of ULEZ..

Logic says to get rid but........

If a simple fluid change won't solve it and ULEZ is important then its time to move it on.

Fluid change could either cure it or kill it completely. What's the current mileage?

183,000. On original gearbox oil. Stephens checked it over this morning. Needed a bit of extra oil, no water contamination. Their diagnostic code read yielded 34 error codes! He reckons the thing hasn’t been scanned over the decade of ownership!
